Italian restaurant Sottocasa Pizzeria has leased space for its first Manhattan location in a Harlem Brownstone.
DJK announced the lease of 2,300 s/f of ground floor and basement space at 227 Lenox Avenue, between 121st and 122nd Streets.
The 10-year deal was closed at asking rents in the $50 psf range. Charles Piazza, of Charles Piazza Real Estate, and Eric Piazza, of DJK Commercial Realty, represented Sottocasa in the lease negotiations.
The landlord was represented by Joseph Aizer, Aizer Realty Group
This will be Sottocasa Pizzeria’s second location in New York with their first successful restaurant on Atlantic Avenue in the Boerum Hill section of Brooklyn.
Their wood-fired oven was built and shipped from Naples and cooks pizza made with organic Italian Tomatoes, Fior di Latte Mozzarella from Wisconsin and sprinkled with Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Sicily at 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
