Side-by-side Fifth Avenue spaces are retail gold, say DE brokers

Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, and Joseph Aquino, eecutive vice president of Douglas Elliman’s Retail Group have the exclusive agency for two side-by-side spaces at 102 and 104 Fifth Avenue, between 15th and 16th Streets.

Located on one of the area’s prime blocks, and surrounded by such significant retail as Paul Smith, Coach, bebe, 7 for all mankind, Banana Republic and Joe Fresh, the 2,200 s/f site of the former Arden B at 104 Fifth is already vacant.

The other space at 102 Fifth, comprising 4,000 s/f, is occupied by a soon-to-be vacating, 150-seat Mesa Grill. Combined, the stores feature 6,200 s/f with an 60 feet of frontage.

“This is a great opportunity for retail flagship or a celebrity chef to open another great New York City restaurant,” said Consolo. “It is unusual to find so much immediately available space in Flatiron because retailers rarely ever leave.” Added Aquino, “An added advantage of this block is the endless traffic it gets, simply because Fifth Avenue is one of the world’s leading fashion streets.

“Before Meatpacking, Nolita and Bleecker Street came into vogue, Flatiron was the go-to for food, fast fashion and designers – and it still is.ˮ
