Nestlé Skin Health, a company that delivers science-based solutions for the health of skin, hair and nails, has leased a 30,000 s/f laboratory/office space at the Alexandria Center for Life Science in Manhattan.
CBRE Group’s John Isaacs, executive vice president and New York City Life Science practice leader, represented Nestlé Skin Health in the 16-year lease in the West Tower.
Nestlé Skin Health will be opening its first innovation hub as part of a global network of research and development centers known as the Nestlé Skin Health Investigation, Education and Longevity Development (SHIELD) network, in 2015.

Nestlé Skin Health is opening a global network of 10 innovation hubs around the world that will
serve as a forum to develop solutions and techniques that will promote a life course of healthy skin through medical investigation, education and application of skin health technologies.
The initiative is a response to the expected rise in skin health needs for a rapidly growing aging population, which has become a significant factor in healthcare today.
Focusing on education and training, the SHIELD network will provide an environment in which diverse fields, including biology, anatomy, emerging trends and social sciences will be brought together and explored.
Following the opening of the New York location, hubs are planned for Hong Kong and São Paulo, as well as elsewhere in North America, Asia and Europe.
Located in the heart of the East Side Medical Corridor, the Alexandria Center for Life Science will provide Nestlé Skin Health with critical proximity to New York City’s major academic, medical and clinical centers in a thriving environment purpose-built for life science collaboration and innovation. The West Tower is now currently 98.7 percent leased or under negotiations.
