Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, and Joseph Aquino, executive vice president of Douglas Elliman’s Retail Group, are bringing Philadelphia-based, international society jeweler, Paul Morelli, to 895 Madison Avenue.
The jeweler, who has been a presence at Bergdorf Goodman since 1981, will be opening his first New York store on a corridor that caters to the city’s most sophisticated shoppers.
The multi-level space offers 40 feet of double frontage and faces the two Ralph Lauren mansions in which that label’s Men’s flagship and Women’s & Home flagships are found.
“Paul Morelli was primed for his own signature store in the city,ˮ said Consolo.
“And this location is absolutely ideal because it is a destination for the world’s most sought after brands.ˮ
The retail leasing and sales team is recognized for their Madison Avenue expertise and over the years, has brought a host of dazzling names to the Jewel Mile, including Buccellati, Cartier, Graff, Kentshire and Kwiat, among others.
Added Aquino, “Paul Morelli already has loyal followings around the world. But what truly distinguishes his collections is that they are all handmade in America.”
Paul Morelli will be located in the former Galo Shoes store.
Consolo and Aquino exclusively represented both the landlord and tenant on the transaction.
