The Rice Cream Shoppe is opening a flagship location at 195 Bleecker Street.
Buchbinder & Warren Realty Group announced the new outlet that will offer crafted rice puddings made from farm fresh ingredients has leased 1,000 s/f of space that includes 750 s/f of selling space and a 250 s/f basement.
Jeff Geoghegan of Eastern Consolidated represented the tenant in the lease. Matthew Olden and William Abramson of Buchbinder & Warren represented the landlord. Asking rent was $175,000 per annum.
This is the first official Rice Cream Shoppe, although the operators have four successful restaurants in New Jersey at which they serve rice cream, which became so popular they decided to focus on it for their next project.
Meanwhile, Abramson is marketing a gut-renovated, fully sprinklered retail space at 420 West 14the Street in the Meatpacking District.
The space includes 3,600 s/f with 13 ft. ceilings, and 2,800 s/f in the cellar (also with high ceilings), 25 ft. of frontage on 14th St. and right off Washington St. Asking rent is $325 psf.
