RXR Realty officially unveiled 75 Rockefeller Plaza recently by holding a ribbon-cutting event. RXR spent $150 million to meticulously reinvent every aspect of the tower, leaving only the building’s original limestone façade, which was cleaned to its original finish, and other structural elements that were greatly enhanced.
Capital improvements include a reconfigured retail space; newly designed elevators with state-of-the-art cabs; a stylish and modern lobby extending north from 51st to 52nd Streets; multiple terraces; and new heating and cooling systems. All combined, the re-development has resulted in the newest and most advanced LEED-certified building in all of Rockefeller Center.
