Fidelity Information Services has signed a lease for approximately 35,000 s/f of office space at 1 New York Plaza in a sublease brokered by Colliers International.
Vice Chairman Leon Manoff, Director John Pavone and Associate Sayo Kamara of Colliers led marketing and leasing efforts and secured a credit-worthy sublessee on behalf of Macmillan Publishers, which ensures a minimal gap in tenancy.
Fidelity Information Systems, represented by Dan Katcher of Newmark Knight Frank, will occupy a major portion of the 45th floor of the property through 2031.
Brookfield Properties owns a controlling stake in the office building, which is located at the tip of Manhattan at the intersection of Whitehall and South Streets.
“Quickly securing a top-notch tenant at this exceptional property was a priority for our client,” said Manoff. “We are pleased that we were able to complete this transaction that includes favorable terms on an accelerated timeline.”
“In a highly competitive Downtown New York market, Colliers developed an excellent set of realistic options, and delivered against a challenging set of market conditions,” said Charles Stafford, Head of Property at Macmillan Publishers.
“They secured an excellent sub-tenant for our space, and so have made a solid contribution to our business.”
The 50-story building, which was completed in 1969, features a newly renovated lobby and retail concourse, which offers a fitness center, world-class dining options and more.
