Donʼt tell Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes thereʼs a luxury apartment glut.

The pair has just gone to contract on a $5.85 million penthouse in the East Village.
32 East 1st Street is the latest luxury project from AORE Holdings. Sales for the 31 one- to- four bedroom homes launched earlier this fall, although the three penthouse apartments were not formally released to the market.
According to the Douglas Elliman superstars, when the buyer inquired about a penthouse “of course, we offered it for their consideration.ˮ
The buyer — a Danish national represented by Elliman’s Bettina Schriver — offered full ask for the two bedroom duplex.
The 1,982 s/f home (pictured top) has a 664 s/f private terrace with a full outdoor kitchen and landscaping that includes planters integrated with lights & speakers.
The penthouse also has a full home automation system that includes gadgets by Sonos, Molteni, Delta and Lutron that can be controlled through a smartphone.
