Prudential Douglas Elliman broker Dolly Lenz has completed the sale of an apartment at 15 Central Park West for $4.9 million, according to city records.
The unit, #6L, had an asking price of $5.45 million. Lenz didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
The seller was St. Louis, Mo.-based Ahmed 3, LLC, controlled by Shakeel Ahmed, a physician. He and his wife, Shaheen Mansoor, purchased the property in 2007 for $2.4 million, according to city records.
The buyer was Arna II, LLC, with S.M. Goenka signing the deed as the buyer.
Brett Miles and Reid Price, formerly of Brown Harris Stevens and now of Town Real Estate, had previously listed the unit for $5.45 million. In April 2010, they rented the apartment, with an asking rent of $11,500 per month, according to StreetEasy. They didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
Lenz began marketing the apartment in October 2010, with the same asking price. The 1,330 s/f, two-bedroom unit closed at $3,684 per sf.
One of the city’s most prestigious addresses, 15 Central Park West was developed by Zeckendorf Development and designed by Robert A.M. Stern. Its limestone facade, location and amenities have propelled it to become one of the most profitable buildings in the world.
