Colt Equities has closed on the acquisition of a two-level retail condominium at 158 Franklin Street in Tribeca.
The 3,800 s/f includes 20 feet of frontage on Franklin Street, with 2,000 s/f of ground level retail space featuring 12-foot ceilings, a large skylight and hardwood floors.
The lower level has 10-foot ceilings and a private outdoor patio.
158 Franklin Street’s brick and cast iron façade, outlined in green trim, stands out among the neighborhood’s boutique stores, restaurants and lounges.
Area retailers include Urban Archaeology, Issey Miyake, Edon Manor, J. Crew Liquor Store, Calypso and Thom Browne, with nearby restaurants Locanda Verde, the Harrison, Nobu, Wolfgang’s, Megu and Tribeca Grill.
Located between Hudson and Varick Streets in Tribeca, 158 Franklin Street is also close to new luxury residential condominiums including 71 Franklin Street, 155 Franklin Street, 111 Murray Street and 56 Leonard.
“Tribeca’s thriving residential and retail market is attracting more locals and visitors to the area’s high-end boutiques, elite retailers and famed restaurants, with Franklin Street continuing to grow in stature as a major neighborhood destination,” said Jack Sitt, founder of Colt Equities.
The space was home to Steven Alan Home until late June, when the shop moved to Atlantic Ave. in Brooklyn.
