Cushman & Wakefield announced that it represented the landlord, Edison Properties, in a long-term lease with Citizen Watch Company of America, Inc. at The Hippodrome Building at 1120 Avenue of the Americas, located between 43rd and 44th Streets.
Citizen’s new office, which will be the headquarters of the Citizen Group serving the United States, Canada, The United Kingdom, and Mexico, is 22,818 s/f on the entire 10th floor of the Midtown Manhattan office building.

“We are pleased to welcome Citizen to The Hippodrome Building and are excited to add such a prestigious global retail brand to our tenant community,” said Andy Gottesman, principal of the Hippodrome.
Added Jeffrey Cohen, president of Citizen Watch Company of America, Inc., “The office setting needs to align with Citizen’s evolving business goals, to support the brand message, strengthen our company culture, and to be closer to our customer base.”
A Cushman & Wakefield team of Gus Field, Michael Burgio and David Berke, represented Edison Properties as exclusive leasing agent. William Iacovelli and Mark Ravesloot of CBRE represented Citizen in the transaction.
“We’re excited to welcome a company of Citizen’s caliber to the building on the heels of adding Daruma Capital Management, LLC to the tenant roster,” said Field, a Cushman & Wakefield Vice Chairman.
“Citizen was drawn to the building because of the proximity to its flagship retail store in Times Square and the hands-on ownership group, as well as the space itself.”
The Hippodrome Building is a 21-story building near major transportation hubs, hotels, restaurants and Bryant Park.
The building currently has full floor availabilities of approximately 22,500 square feet available.
