NYBC Dinner
Nov.18: The New York Building Congress hosts its 2015 Industry Recognition Dinner at the Grand Hyatt New York, 109 E 42nd Street. The Building Congress will honor Tishman Construction President and COO Jay Badame, Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates Chairman A. Eugene Kohn, and NYC School Construction Authority President and CEO Lorraine Grillo. In addition, the Building Congress will present the George A. Fox Public Service Award to the Association of Contracting Plumbers of the City of New York, Inc. Reception starts at 6:00 P.M. followed by dinner and program at 7:00 P.M. WX Gala
Nov. 19: WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate (WX) will host its 2015 Woman of the Year Gala from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. at The Pierre in New York City. The gala will honor Carmen M. Bowser of Eastpointe Consultants, LLC. Bowser has closed over $6 billion in transactions while working at institutions including Capital One Bank, Prudential, TIAA-CREF and others. The 2015 Woman of the Year Gala will also pay tribute to Patricia Goldstein, a longtime WX member and previous Woman of the Year recipient who passed away recently. Fountain House Event
Nov. 19: Francis Greenburger, founder and CEO of Time Equities Inc., will be honored by Fountain House, a foundation dedicated to the recovery of men and women with mental illness, for his philanthropic work in the areas of criminal justice, mental health and the arts. In addition to serving as Founder and CEO of TEI, Francis is also the Founder and President of the Greenburger Center for Social and Criminal Justice and Founder of the OMI International Arts Center. Dec. 1: Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA) will host its 20th annual gala, a New York Winter’s Eve with the cocktail hour starting at 6:30 P.M. and the dinner and program starting at 7:30 P.M. This highly anticipated and time-honored fundraiser will be hosted by Willie Geist, Today Show and Morning Joe co-host. The event will take place in The Plaza Grand Ballroom. RXR Realty Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Scott Rechler and Executive Vice President and Managing Director William Elder will receive the Spirit of the Founders Award on behalf of the company. B’nai B’rith Luncheon
Dec 2: B’nai B’rith will host guest speaker, Gregg Popkin, chief operating officer of RFR, at their monthly luncheon. The reception will start at noon and lunch will be served at 12:30 P.M. It will be held at the Cornell Club at 6 East 44th Street on the 4th floor. Tickets bought up to two days in advance cost $70 and $80 after that.
