Arlee Home Fashions is moving its office and showroom to a new location at 36 East 31st Street, between Park Avenue South and Madison Avenue in Midtown South.
The company will relocate from 261 Fifth Avenue, where it has been located for over 25 years.
Arlee’s new space comprises the entire 8th floor, with 11,986 s/f, and 3,819 s/f on part of the 7th floor. The loft-like spaces have large windows, refurbished wood floors and high ceilings. The building also has a new lobby.
The ten year-lease had an asking rent of $56psft, according to Elie Smith, senior director at Norman Bobrow and Company, Inc., who represented the tenant. The landlord is Koeppel Rosen LLC.
“36 East 31st Street is a considerably more cost effective building than 261 Fifth Avenue,” said Smith.
