Related Companies announced that 225 Rector Place, the luxury condominium in Battery Park City, has sold its 100th residence and is now 50 percent sold.
The milestone comes seven months after the building entered the market and on the heels of the building’s recent unveiling of additional newly-modeled units by designer Jonathan Adler.
“We are thrilled with the response we have received at 225 Rector,ˮ said Sherry Tobak, senior vice president for Related Companies and director of sales at 225 Rector Place.
The developer — who rescued the property from a failed conversion by Yair Levy — credits much of the spaces pace to its collaboration with designers such as Adler and Irish star Clodagh, Whose aesthetic can be seen throughout the proeprty.
The model residences offer buyers the opportunity to recreate Adler’s vision in their own home. All of the pieces used in the homes are available at his five New York City locations so homeowners are able to “shop the look.” Purchasers will have access to an individual design consultation and special offers on purchases, too.
225 Rector Place has a rooftop Cabana with a full kitchen and seating area where residents can invite family and friends to enjoy the views of Battery Park City regardless of the weather. There are also two outdoor terrace lounges with grills.
Residents also have year-round access to a 40 ft swimming pool, a steam room, fitness center, and children’s playroom.
“As more residents choose to live at 225 Rector Place, we are constantly looking for ways to adapt to their needs,” said Tobak, who notes the building just opened a newly designed, onsite bike storage in response to interest from the residents.
Still available for purchase are a variety of studio and one-bedroom units, ranging in size from 550 to 961 s/f. A select number of two- and three-bedrooms are also still available, as well as the development’s penthouses. Pricing begins at $500,000.
