TOWN Residential announced that the team led by Mordechai (Mordy) Werde and Michael Ettelson, has joined the firm’s Financial District office.
Managed by Karen Gastiaburo and Hal Gavzie, TOWN Financial District is the only full service firm in the neighborhood.
Previously affiliated with Douglas Elliman and with over 10 years experience in the industry, Mordy Werde joins TOWN Residential as partner of the Werde/Ettelson Team.
During his first year in real estate, Mordy sold more than $10 million in property and has continued to move forward with over $150 million in condominiums, townhouses and co-ops sales.
As the second half of the Werde/Ettelson Team, Michael Ettelson brings a reputation and proven sales record to TOWN Residential.
A Brooklyn native, he has a vast knowledge and experience in working with some of Brooklyn’s largest new developments, and has established strong relationships in the real estate industry. His new development expertise and market knowledge are sought by many.
The Werde/Ettelson Team has a proven a track record of annual awards including: #1 Brooklyn Sales Team 2013 and 2012; Pinnacle Award 2013; Platinum Award 2012 and 2011; Most Brooklyn Sales Exclusives 2012 and 2010; #4 Team in Transactions Company Wide 2012; and Chairman Circle Award 2010.

In April, the firm announced that 34 year industry leader Karen Gastiaburo joined TOWN Residential as Managing Director of TOWN Financial District to work closely with Hal Gavzie, Leasing Director TOWN Financial District.
Karen is an NYRS Designee, having received the Real Estate Board of New York’s premier professional residential real estate credential and is an active member of REBNY.
She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Downtown Committee, where she was instrumental in facilitating harmonious relations among the industry firms, and on the committee for Deal of the Year an annual REBNY Gala.

Luxury sales and rental agent Marc Heskell will join Saunders & Associates in their Bridgehampton office, the firm announced.
Heskell’s career in real estate began 10 years ago when he established himself as a highly regarded agent in the luxury sales and rental segment.
He regularly achieved top producer awards and ranked in the top one percent of brokers at The Corcoran Group and, before that, at Allan Schneider & Associates.
Prior to embarking on his real estate career, Heskell received an MBA in Finance from NYU. He is a qualified CPA, and worked for more than a decade in finance at Morgan Stanley.
Combined with undergraduate studies in architecture, his background, negotiating skills and experience have proven invaluable to his clients.
