EPIC Commercial Realty has appointed Tali Israeli as its chief operating officer.
Israeli handles day-to-day operations and oversees the over 30-person team. She is charged with growing the team following a record-breaking 2014.

Prior to joining EPIC, Israeli was a senior operations manager at Hearing Life/Total Hearing Care, overseeing the operations for several hundred locations.
Before that, she was partner in the property management division and a vice president of operations in the real estate development and general contractor divisions at Shuster

Management, LLC for seven years.
Israeli received her Master of Arts degree with a specialty in organizational development from Montclair State University and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University.
She also served as First Lieutenant in the Israeli Defense Force.

Greystone announced that Jeffrey Yachmetz has joined the company as vice resident of Development.

Yachmetz reports directly to Thomas Ryan, Senior Vice President of Development.

He brings 14 years of direct real estate development, construction, design and project management experience to Greystone,
with a background in a variety of real estate development related disciplines ranging from pre-development due diligence assessments to project execution and delivery.

Yachmetz will focus on Greystone’s new residential development projects in the New York City area, including Brooklyn.

Prior to joining Greystone, Yachmetz held development roles at NorthStar Asset Management and Thor Equities.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Rhode Island and a Master of Science degree from Columbia University in New York City. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer.

CBRE Group, Inc. announced that CBRE Capital Advisors — the investment banking arm of the firm — has expanded its global real estate secondaries advisory platform with the formation of a dedicated team in the Americas.

CBRE’s secondaries real estate advisory team, first established in the U.K., has executed over $5 billion in transactions since its inception in 2010.

Operating from offices in London, Singapore, Sydney — and now New York — the team completed $1.4 billion in real estate secondaries transactions in 2014.

Philip Barker has been appointed senior managing director to lead the secondaries advisory team in the Americas and will be based in New York.

Barker brings significant alternative investment experience and leadership to the role having previously led CBRE’s Real Estate Derivatives team in the U.S.

Barker has held senior trading and management roles over the course of his career, having previously worked for Merrill Lynch, Barclays Bank, and The Royal Bank of Canada.

CBRE Group’s Westchester/Fairfield office announced the addition of in-house Project and Cost Management capabilities.

The service is being run by industry leader Jake Dibble, who joined CBRE in June 2014.
Dibble covers project and cost management for Connecticut and the surrounding area, working on projects that range from several thousand square feet up to 200,000 s/f.

Moses & Singer announced that Sander Ash has joined the firm’s Real Estate practice.

Ash brings a broad range of experience in representing institutions, public REITS and other public companies, private developers, funds, and high net worth individuals.

He handles a wide variety of complex matters including multi-state and cross border transactions.

Ash’s practice emphasizes real estate finance covering acquisitions, joint ventures, fund formation, inbound foreign real estate investment, building development, REITs, securitizations, capital market transactions and leasing.

Prior to joining Moses & Singer, Ash was a real estate partner at a major firm in Boston.
He is a cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, with an undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Brandeis University

The Rockefeller Group announced that Thomas E. McCormick III, SIOR, FRICS, has been named seniorvice president, National Corporate Accounts, a new position.

McCormick joined The Rockefeller Group in 2004 as senior vice president, development, and opened the company’s current Southern California office that same year.

He was most recently senior vice president and regional development officer for the Western Region.

In his new role, McCormick will leverage his national industry and corporate relationships to build the company’s development pipeline across the United States, working with the company’s Urban and Industrial Development leadership, Regional Development Officers and Regional Directors.

He will be charged with sourcing development and land-acquisition opportunities that fit within the company’s stated investment criteria, and he will cultivate corporate relationships with the aim of identifying potential build-to-suit opportunities.

Prior to joining The Rockefeller Group, McCormick was chief operating officer of Panattoni Development Company, where during his tenure the company became one of the largest industrial developers in the United States.

He began his real estate career in 1981 with Coldwell Banker Commercial. In 1982 he joined what would become Colliers Macaulay Nicolls, a privately held Canadian-based commercial brokerage company with 85 offices around the world. He served for three years as president of the firm before joining Panattoni.

Samantha Castellano has joined the business development department of Lane Office

A former executive assistant to the founder of a branding consultancy start-up, Castellano managed a variety of roles, from administrative to copywriting, while also developing client relations.

At Lane Office, she will organize sponsorship and industry opportunities, through creating lasting business relationships.
Castellano is a graduate of the University of Albany.

NAI James E. Hanson announced the promotion of four of its executives.

All four brokers – Barry J. Cohorsky, SIOR, Jeffrey DeMagistris, SIOR, Thomas A. Vetter, SIOR and Hal B. Messer, MSRE – will hold senior vice president positions within the company.
Barry J. Cohorsky, SIOR has negotiated more than 16.5 million square feet in transactions over the course of his 24 years in commercial real estate.

He has a proven track record in identifying market opportunities, developing client relationships, negotiating lease terms and executing sale/lease contracts with commercial clients ranging from small business owners to large multi-national corporations.

He is a member of The Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers Association of the New York Metropolitan Area (IOREBA) and has participated in multi-market transactions outside of New Jersey.

Jeffrey W. DeMagistris, SIOR specializes in the Meadowlands submarket as a member of the Industrial Brokerage Council at NAI James E. Hanson.

He has successfully represented multiple office and industrial landlords such as Russo Development, Sitex Group, The Hampshire Companies and Joseph L. Muscarelle Inc. In November 2012, he was named one of New Jersey’s top leasing brokers by Real Estate Forum, and he holds a number of professional affiliations including the National Association of Realtors, Liberty Board of Realtors and the Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce.

Thomas A. Vetter, SIOR has delivered outstanding results in his representation of several prominent Meadowlands landlords including Coining, Inc., Sitex Group, SourceOne Worldwide, The Pepsi Bottling Group and InterCept Inc.

In November 2012, he was named one of New Jersey’s top leasing brokers by Real Estate Forum and is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), Liberty Board of Realtors and the Coalition of Commercial Real Estate Associations.

Hal B. Messer, MSRE leads acquisition and disposition efforts on behalf of local and national corporations. He has completed transactions totaling over $750,000,000.
He also serves as a liaison to Columbia Property Investors LLC and SPC Associates LLC.

Messer’s other professional affiliations include the Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers Association of New York (IOREBA) as well as previous positions within the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and the Jewish Community Housing Corporation.

He holds a masters of science in real estate finance and investment from New York University.

National Cooperative Bank (NCB) announced two senior-level promotions within its National Residential Loan Team.

Jeremy Morgan will continue at the firm as senior vice president, while Ryan Greer will become a vice president. Both Morgan and Greer bring over ten years of experience in mortgage lending to NCB.

Jeremy Morgan began his lending career with NCB in 2001 as a loan specialist. He was named assistant vice president in 2003, and promoted to vice president in 2009.
Morgan has been instrumental in strengthening NCB’s cooperative residential lending presence nationwide and has originated over $600 million in cooperative and Tenant in Common (TIC) loans.

Ryan Greer began his career with NCB in 2003 as a residential loan processor. During his tenure at NCB, he served as NCB’s BSA officer, IT operations specialist, and lender serving the commercial, consumer and single family markets in NCB’s Ohio region.

In 2010, Greer embraced additional business lines with the National Residential Loan Team focusing on co-operative unit loans for seven states.
