Boston National Title, established in 2006 and headquartered in Charlotte, NC, has acquired a stake in New York-based Insignia Title Agency.
The acquisition gives Boston National an instant entrée into New York’s high-powered real estate deal flow.
Large financial institutions and brokers that already rely on Boston National to perform title work and issue insurance on commercial and private wealth transactions outside of New York, can now take advantage of the Insignia BNT team on their New York transactions, according to Boston National CEO and managing partner John Keratsis.
“What you’re seeing is two companies with terrific reputations, especially on high-end commercial and private wealth transactions, coming together to create an even better service offering for customers,” said Keratsis, who founded Boston National Title and grew it into one of the nation’s leading, independent title services companies.
“We can now leverage Insignia’s experienced teams of processors and attorneys on behalf of national clients with title needs in the New York marketplace while Insignia can leverage our national processing teams, closing networks and licensure.”
In addition to Insignia BNT, Boston National maintains separate companies and operations as Boston National Title, BN Title of Texas and BNT Title of California.
With these entities, Boston National is licensed to issue insurance in a total of 37 states and the District of Columbia.
“This partnership allows us to expand our relationships with our New York customers,” states Darren Wainer, managing partner at Insignia. “With Boston National, we can take care of their title needs no matter where their properties are located.”
Boston National currently holds general services agreements with four of the nation’s top 10 lenders. Both companies have also handled some of the largest commercial transactions in the country.
