Mar.7: Faith Hope Consolo, chairman of Douglas Elliman’s retail group, will receive the 2015 Founder’s Award from the Quad Preparatory School. MIPIM Conference
Mar. 10-13: The power of the crowd – a game changer in commercial real estate, will take place March 10 at 4 pm at the MIPIM conference organized in partnership with Allianz Real Estate. The event will take place at Palais des Festivals, Cannes, France. Nicolas Ferrary, CEO of Airbnb France, will speak as part of the MIPIM conference program. The conference and networking event will focus attention on the impact the digital economy is having on the international real estate industry.
Appraisal Institute Luncheon
Mar.11: The Metropolitan New York Chapter of the Appraisal Institute will host a luncheon & program at 11:30 a.m. entitled “Goodbye Green & White: Why Massey Knakal Sold to C&W”. B’nai B’rith Luncheon
Mar. 12: The “Booming Brooklyn Market” will be covered by a panel at the next B’nai B’rith luncheon. LIREG Terrorism Breakfast
Apr. 1: A top FBI terrorism expert will discuss preparedness for Active Shooter situations at an April 1 networking breakfast of the Long Island Real Estate Group (LIREG), the 350-member philanthropic and networking organization

Frankel, Special Agent in Charge of the New York Field Office’s Criminal Division, will speak to the organization of real estate and other professionals at 8 a.m. at the Old Westbury Golf & Country Club, 270 Wheatley Rd., Old Westbury, New York. An active shooter is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined or populated area. High-profile active shooter situations have included the 2007 shooting at Virginia Tech in which 32 people were killed and the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut that claimed 26 lives. May 14: The New Jersey Chapter of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, has announced the recipients of its 2015 Commercial Real Estate Awards. The awards will be presented during the 28th Annual Commercial Real Estate Awards Gala, to be held at The Palace at Somerset Park, Somerset, N.J. Finn Wentworth, founder and partner, Normandy Real Estate Partners will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. The Impact Award will be presented to Constantino T. Milano, Hartz Mountain Industries, Inc. Geoffrey Schubert of CBRE and Robert R. Martie of Colliers International will receive the Industry Service Awards. The winners of the Deal of the Year Awards will be revealed at the Gala.
