Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates (KDA) has arranged a 16,000 s/f, long-term lease at 1006 Metropolitan Avenue for The Dock Studios, LLC, a studio space for artists, in the East Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, NY.
Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates brokers Vincent Lopez and Jacques Wadler represented the tenant, while Howard Darsi and Bill Chang, also of KDA, negotiated on behalf of the owner, CTC Trading, in the deal. The space was formerly owner-occupied.
The Dock Studios is opening its second location at 1006 Metropolitan Avenue to accommodate additional artist studio space. The company’s first location in Brooklyn is at 1027 Grand Street.
“Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates was able to successfully deliver a transaction that was beneficial for both the owner and the tenant. The space at 1006 Metropolitan Avenue is close to The Dock Studios’ existing location, which makes management of both properties simple for the tenant,” said Lopez.
Added Chang, “The large space and prime location of 1006 Metropolitan Avenue also played a large factor in The Dock Studios’ reason for expansion. Its open layout, spread across two stories, is ideal for use as creative studio space.”
The two-story property at 1006 Metropolitan Avenue offers 16,000 s/f, with each floor totaling 8,000 s/f.
The building is located between Catherine Street and Morgan Avenue.
