Russia model buys Gramercy condo

DARIA ZHEMKOVA

Daria Zhemkova, a Russian supermodel, is the new owner of a 630 s/f condo at the Rutherford Place, at 305 2nd Avenue in Gramercy Park.

Apartment #303 was sold for $595,000. Bruce Robertson of Corcoran represented the seller and Elliot Bogod of Broadway Realty represented Zhemkova.

The Russian beauty has been renting in midtown south, Bogod said, and looked in both Greenwich Village and Gramercy Park for her first New York purchase.  The buyer was attracted to the historic building’s high ceilings, large windows, and roof deck that is ideal for sunbathing, Bogod said. Zhemkova also appreciated the neighborhood’s central location and easy access to transportation.

The 127-unit beaux arts building was built by J.P. Morgan and is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places.

ELLIOT BOGOD

Zhemkova was born in Siberia, Russia, and got into the modeling business through social networks.

She was noticed and invited for filming in Russia before heading to New York where she has landed covers for magazines L’Officiel, Glamour and Surface.
