REBNY’s Members’ Luncheon took place at the Hilton today, where Gabe Marans, Managing Director at Savills Studley, was presented with this year’s Most Promising Commercial Salesperson of the Year award. As a winner of this award, Marans receives a one-year seat on the REBNY Board of Governors, as well as a lifetime membership to REBNY’s prestigious “Circle of Winners” group, which meets four times a year for a private dinner with top industry leaders. Marans is the eighteenth award winner to be inducted into REBNY’s prestigious “Circle of Winners” group since the creation of the award in 1996.
The award ceremony was followed by a panel discussion titled “Market Forces and Factors Behind Today’s Billion Dollar Retail and Office Deals.” The speakers included Scott Rechler, Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of RXR Realty, and Jeff Sutton, founder and President of Wharton Properties. Moderated by Douglas Harmon, Sr. Managing Director at Eastdil Secured, the discussion explored various marketing elements and strategies, and the roles they play in approaching deals in today’s retail marketplace.
