SL Green has released new renderings on One Vanderbilt showing a transformed Grand Central streetscape.
The developer is spending an unprecedented $220 million to improve transit infrastructure around the 1,401 ft. tower.
PWP Landscape Architecture, the firm behind the National September 11 Memorial, has designed Vanderbilt Plaza, a 14,000 s/f plaza that will open in August 2020, just ahead of the tower’s official opening.
The tower is 65 percent leased to tenants including The Carlyle Group, TD Bank, and Greenberg Traurig. It will also house a restaurant from chef Daniel Boulud.
