Patsy and Alfred Kahn paid $8 million for Bernard Madoff’s Upper East Side penthouse in February 2010, undeterred by the home’s infamous former owner.
Around the same time, they put their five-bedroom, five-bathroom apartment at the Time Warner Center at 25 Columbus Circle on the market for $33.6 million. The price was later decreased to $29.75 million, and then $24.95 million, according to StreetEasy. Now, the property, Unit #62CE, has sold for $20.5 million, according to city records.
The buyer was listed as Prime International Management Group, LLC, a Staten Island-based business.
The 4,375 s/f apartment has 70 feet parallel to Central Park, along with three subzero refrigerators, double Miele ovens, a six-burner Miele gas grill, double Miele dishwashers and two Miele washers and dryers, along with a wine cooler, according to the listing.
Elizabeth Lee Sample and Brenda Powers of Brown Harris Stevens were the listing brokers.
Alfred Kahn is the former CEO of 4Kids Entertainment, a children’s television and merchandising company. He retired in January, and the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in response to a licensing lawsuit.Unit #62CE
