The Kaufman Organization brokered a seven year, 11,695 s/f headquarters lease for engineering firm Simpson, Gumpertz & Heger, Inc. at 550 Seventh Avenue.
“The company is located on multiple floors in its current office and wanted to build out a space with an open floor plan on one floor. This floor has windows on three sides and a great layout,” said Michael Heaner, partner of the Kaufman Organization.
“Additionally, the Midtown location, access to multiple trains and the creative tenant mix made this the ideal building for SGH and its employees.”
The asking rent for the space was $48 psf. Heaner and Grant Greenspan of the Kaufman Organization represented ownership, while
Jamie Katcher of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant.
The Kaufman Organization is the exclusive leasing agent for the building.
Other tenants at 550 Seventh include Ralph Lauren, Donna Karen, Badgley Mischka and Lily Pulitzer.
