DeSimone acquires data center design firm

DeSimone Consulting Engineers has acquired RRC Engineering, a Massachusetts-based structural engineering firm specializing in the design of data centers.

DeSimone is a leader in structural engineering, forensics, facade consulting, and construction and environmental risk management. RRC Engineering’s expertise in the design of data centers will strengthen DeSimone’s ability to service a sector fueled by the accelerated shift to ecommerce and virtual collaboration.  

RRC Engineering was founded in 2002 and will continue to be led by founding principal Robert Chartrand. The firm will remain at its current address at 60 Man Mar Drive, Plainville, MA. DeSimone’s Boston team will remain at 31 Milk Street, Boston, MA.
