Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty has acquired Virginia O’Dwyer Real Estate of Stony Brook, New York.
Daniel Gale Sotheby’s president and CEO Patricia Petersen said the move was part of her firm’s long term growth strategy
“The Virginia O’Dwyer name has a 40-year history in Stony Brook and the Three Village area and, like Daniel Gale Sotheby’s, has an impeccable reputation for professionalism, integrity, expertise and local knowledge,” said Peterson.
“This transaction is reflective of our confidence in both the Virginia O’Dwyer team and in the continued vitality and value of North Shore real estate.”
Michael E. O’Dwyer with his mother, Virginia, accepted the agreement with Daniel Gale. “Today’s real estate market demands leading edge technology and a global reach, and Daniel Gale Sotheby’s has the resources, know-how and professional standards that will allow us to elevate the services we offer,” he said.Michael O’Dwyer, whose real estate career spans more than 25 years at the agency his mother founded, will manage what will be known as the Virginia O’Dwyer Division of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty.
The combined group will occupy the former O’Dwyer agency office in Stony Brook.
