City Connections Realty, www.ccrny.com, opened two additional storefront offices last week.
Each office – at 311 E. 76th St. near Second Avenue and 510 Amsterdam Avenue between 84th -85th Street – is used primarily by the firm’s virtual agents and houses a concierge to assist agents and clients.
Carol Blum of Crosby Street Partners and of design firm CBM Limited, a developer and interior designer well-known for designing high-end loft condo conversions, has headed up the design of the offices along with CCR’s creative director, David Bender, in order to create spaces where modernism, efficiency and professionalism come together.
At 311 E. 76th Street the look reflects an updated version of the old clubs of New York complete with dark wood and leather. At 510 Amsterdam Avenue the palette is brushed steel, crenellated aluminum and polished concrete.
Large monitors in the front windows feature live postings of available properties, as well as weather and news updates. Both locations come equipped with wifi, a cappuccino bar and a full-time concierge. The City Connections corporate blue is accented throughout.
“Uncluttered and leaning towards minimalistic design, these state-of –the-art workspaces were created for the agent who works on the run – a new breed of real estate agent who doesn’t need or want to sit at a desk in an office, but wants something more than the local coffee shop for conferences and client meetings; this represents a dramatic shift from anything else in the industry,” said Bender.
