Interpublic Group, one of the world’s Big Four advertising and marketing conglomerates, with more than 43,000 employees on six continents, has leased 87,000 s/fof office space at W&H Properties’ 1400 Broadway.

Anthony Malkin, president of Malkin Holdings, which supervises the W&H portfolio, announced that Interpublic will occupy two and a half floors when employees relocate from offices at 161 Avenue of the Americas and 28-40 West 23rd Street in the fourth quarter of this year.

“The day Interpublic’s lease was signed, Mayor Bloomberg held a press conference at the opening of offices for our new full-floor tenant On Deck Capital, celebrating its growth and expansion in Manhattan. If I had told anyone five years ago this would be happening, they would have laughed at me,” said Malkin.

“These leases, on the heels of Kohl’s five-floor lease, and many others, confirm the wisdom of our decision to invest in 1400 Broadway to transform it into a superior corporate business environment.”

Scott Panzer and Robert Romano from Jones Lang LaSalle represented Interpublic in the lease negotiations. Scott Klau, Erik Harris and Neil Rubin of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented the landlord.
