ABS Partners has brokered two leases totaling 15,000 s/f at 9 East 37th Street, a 12-story office building between Fifth and Madison Avenues. Ron Zimmerman, Andy Udis and Ian Weiss of ABS brokered the transactions on behalf of the landlord, 9 East 37th Street Associates, and brought the property to full occupancy, in less than 100 days of becoming the exclusive agents of the building.
The first deal was a seven-year, 5,000 s/f lease for Mind Gym USA Inc., a company that offers corporate learning and development programs.
The second was a 10,000 s/f renewal for Partners in Human Resources International, a talent consulting firm.
David Goldberg of Redwood Property Group represented Mind Gym USA Inc., while David Berke of Cushman & Wakefield represented Partners International in their respective transactions. Asking rents were in the mid $40s psf.
“Mind Gym was attracted to 9 East 37th Street for its new U.S. headquarters because of the look and feel of the open-concept space they could create on the sixth floor, in addition to the relative value it offered and the owner’s high-quality installations,” said Zimmerman, executive managing director at ABS Partners.
“The central location was also important and one of the main reasons why Partners International opted to renew its two-floor lease.”
